Where do you work?
"I work in the OEM department. The OEM department is responsible for the sale of bulk volumes, especially products that relates to Flow cytometry and clinical immunochemistry."
What do you do?
"I am a part of the sales team. I support the business managers with their work on Dako’s key accounts. Besides that I am an employee selected member of the Board of Directors."
What are the requirements of your job?
"In my job, it’s very important, that you like to work with other people. Every day I get calls from people from all over the world. They have all sorts of questions, and I spend a lot of my time looking for the right answers.
I used to work in Operations as a Lab Technician. That’s a great help, because when our customers asks me more technical questions, I know the answer. And when I don’t, I just contact someone with more knowledge within that field.
Recently, I have taken up a new challenge. I have become a member of the Board of Directors representing the Dako employees. This has brought me a lot closer to the decision making process in Dako and that’s a trill."
Why are you working for Dako?
"When I was a student, I did a project where I used antibodies from Dako. I sort of got stuck. This was back in the winter of 1994 and I have been here ever since. Another important thing for me is that I have constantly been given new challenges. And then, of course, I am working with some wonderful people."
What kind of development opportunities do you see at Dako?
"So far I have been working with: monoclonal antibodies, conjugates, polyclonal antibodies, and, for a short period of time, pathology and Flow cytology. Today, I’m in sales. Who knows what the future brings."
What makes working for Dako special?
"At Dako there is room for a lot of different people. I like being in a place with such variety. If you dare take a chance, there are a lot of opportunities within the company. I am one of the persons that have changed working area completely. I am very happy with having this opportunity."
