Products Search
Under ‘Products’ in the menu you can choose between 'Simple search' and ‘Advanced Search’.

Using Simple Search
In ‘Simple search’ you can type search words in the search field to make a simple query or narrow a query using search operators. Please see the table below with search operators and examples.

‘Simple search’ will search for the word/phrase in product name, description and clone.

To search for a specific Dako product No. (Code), simply type the product No. in the search field (e.g. M3612).

In addition, you can browse your way to a product by selecting product area/group, or use the alphabetical index to get a list of all products starting with this letter.

Advanced Search
In ‘Advanced search’ you can type search words in the search field to make a simple query or narrow a query using search operators. Please see the table below with search operators and examples.

To further narrow a query and make an advanced search, you may select the product area you wish to search within from the drop-down list and/or check off the box(es) to indicate where you want to search (in product description, product name, clone and/or Code).

Search Operators
The search engine is not case-sensitive, in other words there is no difference in writing Dako and dako.

Search operators can be combined (e.g. “word1 word2” +word3 –word4). + and – should be typed immediately before the search word (no space between symbol and word).

The table below shows the search operators, their action, and examples.

Search Results
When you make a search, the search engine will return the results sorted with the “best” matches listed at the top; the search engine automatically weights your query terms based on their statistical uniqueness. Common terms, such as “shall”, get a much lower weighting than less frequently occurring terms, such as e.g. the phrase “tumor suppressor”. The more terms matched in your query, the higher the ranking.
